Wood and leather chair, Italy, 1980s

This chair seems very straightforward: a wooden frame and two pieces of thick leather to serve as a seat and backrest. While the idea may be simple, the construction is splendid, as one close look leathercraft and woodworking will let you know. Judging by the Arts and Crafts style, we're inclined to believe that whoever designed and manufactured this standalone chair found a complicated way of expressing his, or her yearning for elementary times.
