Biconica floor lamp by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce, Italy, 1980s

Designed by Elio Martinelli in 1987, the Biconica floor lamp is futuristic in design to this day, and we suspect it will always be. The two flared cones that compose its shape light up entirely, turning the Biconica into a light sculpture. Made out of white polyethylene, this 195 cm high alien ghost is also light in terms of weight, so one can easily place it wherever they feel like. As the pictures show, the greater the number, the greater the effect and possibilities.
