Harvey Guzzini were responsigle for many 20th century lighting classics and, starting the mid 70s, they started using more an more methacrylate plastic, also known as acrylic. This enabled designers like Luigi Massoni to venture into bolder shapes that glass would allow, and at a fraction of the cost. As he paired acrylic and chromed metal into this jellyfish mushroom shape, Massoni created the Brumbury. 50 years on, we still love it.
