Bud Space Age Floor Lamp by Luigi Massoni for Meblo/Guzzini, 1970s

An exceptional vintage Bud floor lamp, produced by Meblo in collaboration with Harvey Guzzini during the 1970s, and associated with the visionary Space Age designs of Luigi Massoni.

A beautiful example of 1970s modernist lighting, this elegant floor lamp combines futuristic geometry, refined materials, and sculptural simplicity in a timeless composition.

The design is characterized by its striking spherical white opaline diffuser, which appears to float effortlessly above a beautifully shaped chrome-plated metal support.

The distinctive trumpet-shaped chrome element beneath the globe creates a graceful transition into the slender vertical stem, giving the lamp an elegant, almost weightless architectural silhouette.

When illuminated, the large white globe produces a soft, warm, and beautifully diffused glow, transforming the lamp into a luminous sculptural object while creating an inviting and atmospheric ambiance.

The polished chrome structure and circular base introduce a sophisticated industrial contrast to the softness of the spherical shade, perfectly capturing the experimental spirit of the Space Age movement.

Manufactured by Meblo in the former Yugoslavia as part of its collaboration with Guzzini, the Bud floor lamp reflects the innovative approach to lighting design that characterized the 1970s.

With its harmonious proportions, minimalist construction, and unmistakable retro-futuristic character, this exceptional floor lamp is perfectly suited to contemporary interiors, sophisticated living spaces, and carefully curated collections of vintage lighting.

A captivating expression of 1970s Space Age design, where pure geometry, luminous elegance, and sculptural simplicity come together.
