The armchair pictured is in the style of the iconic "Lady" armchair, originally designed by Italian architect and designer Marco Zanuso in 1951. It's a hallmark of Italian Mid-Century Modernism and was manufactured by the Italian company Arflex

  • Designer: Marco Zanuso
  • Manufacturer: Originally Arflex, it is now also produced by Cassina.
  • Design Period: 1950s
  • Style: Mid-Century Modern, known for its appealing organic curves and innovative use of materials like polyurethane foam.
  • Awards: The "Lady" armchair won first prize (a gold medal) at the IX Milan Triennale in 1951.
The chair in your image, with its curved, enveloping shape and tapered brass legs, reflects this classic design. While some visual search results explicitly identify the chair as being "in the style of" the original "Lady" or "Senior" models, the design is clearly derived from Zanuso's work. The "Senior" model is a very similar, slightly taller, and more upright version of the "Lady" chair.
