Jadran Space Age Floor Lamp by Luigi Massoni for Meblo Guzzini, 1970s

An exceptional vintage Jadran floor lamp, produced by Meblo in collaboration with Harvey Guzzini during the 1970s, reflecting the visionary Space Age aesthetic associated with Italian designer Luigi Massoni and the Guzzini design studio.

A striking example of futuristic lighting design, the Jadran features an extraordinary sculptural silhouette inspired by the experimental forms and optimistic spirit of the Space Age era.

Its distinctive saucer-shaped acrylic shade, finished in a warm orange tone, surrounds a beautifully rounded white opaline glass diffuser, creating a captivating contrast of color, material, and geometry.

When illuminated, the opaline glass sphere produces a soft, atmospheric glow, while the surrounding acrylic shade enhances the lamp's sculptural presence and unmistakable retro-futuristic character.

The elegant chrome-plated metal stem and circular base introduce a refined industrial element, perfectly balancing the playful upper structure with a minimalist architectural foundation.

Manufactured by Meblo in Nova Gorica, in the former Yugoslavia, the Jadran belongs to the celebrated collection of lighting designs developed through the collaboration between Meblo and Harvey Guzzini.

Both a functional lighting object and a remarkable piece of sculptural design, this floor lamp makes an impressive statement in contemporary, eclectic, or carefully curated mid-century interiors.

A captivating expression of 1970s Space Age design, combining futuristic geometry, vibrant color, and timeless Italian design influence.
