Mid Century Teak Wall Unit, Italy, 1960s

Looking at this generous wall unit, it becomes clear that they don't make'em like they used to. Done in teak and veneer, this piece's tasteful ornamentation is restricted to the tips of its 12 adjustable shelves, resolved in an elongated pyramid shape. The rest is left to the materials' natural beauty, so that this piece only ends up providing a pleasant background to the objects it holds. One can place the shelves anywhere along the black metal rails, according to their needs and wants. Due to the simplicity and flexibility of this system, changing one's mind is hardly an issue.
