It's hard to imagine how much design effort went into what we would now consider a regular chair, or a regular pair of scissors. A lot of 20th century thinking went into finding the most ergonomic, logical, efficient and elegant solutions for everyday items. The SE 68 Multi Purpose Chair is one of these items - look at it today and, yeah, it looks like a chair. At the time, though, it was one of the breakthrough designs which ticked off a set of important boxes: easily produced, stackable, sturdy, not too expensive, comfortable and good-looking.
