This powerful example of Bauhaus furniture comes not from the 1930s, but was designed by Horst Brüning in the 60s. Nevertheles, this serving trolley displays the same preference for elegant, purposefully-bent steel frames and modern materials, in this case, laminate wood for the plates. The top blate can be extended to reach a length of 156 cm. A personal touch of Brüning's are the leather-wrapped handles which, apart for ensuring a better, warmer grip, provide an organic material to the otherwise cold composition.
