Set of 4 chairs in style of 'Chaplin' chair by Gerard van den Berg for Montis, Holland, 1990s

These set of chairs are replicas of Dutch contemporary designer Gerard van den Berg's Chaplin chair. A bold choice the unknown manufacturer has made is the removal of the crossbeams which connect the chair's legs in the original design. So far, these replicas have stood the test of time, with straight legs and leather in good condition, only exhibiting minor signs of use. The zippers which allow one to take the upholstery on and off are in working order, while also performing their role as a design feature valiantly.
